Coleraine Space Invaders In The News
Coleraine Computing students Barry Herbert, Michael McCrystal, and Graham Taylor travelled to Tiperray Institute with lecturer Darryl Charles to compete in the XNA Ireland Space Invaders competition. The event was the centrepiece of the Microsoft sponsored XNA Ireland Challenge 2008, for which 2nd and 3rd level students designed their own version of the classic game for Xbox 360 consoles.

Searching for Better Models of Healthcare
Clinicians, social care experts, healthcare managers, mathematicians and computer scientists from around the world gathered in Northern Ireland this week to discuss ways of making healthcare more efficient and more cost effective.

Computing Innovation at the University of Ulster Recognised by Industry

Events Conference: IMVIP 2008
The International Machine Vision and Image Processing Conference (IMVIP2008) will be hosted by the School of Computing and Information Engineering. The conference will take place from 3rd-5th September 2008 at the Ramada Hotel in Portrush

Recent Developments Conference: ECBS 2008
The 15th IEEE International Conference on Engineering of Computer-Based Systems (ECBS 2008) was hosted by the Faculty of Computing and Engineering. The conference took place from 31st March - 4th April 2008 in the W5 Conference Centre in Belfast.

Conference: HSCM 2008
The Second International Health and Social Care Modelling Conference (HSCM 2008) was hosted by the School of Computing and Information Engineering. The conference took place from 18th-20th March 2008 in the Ramada Hotel in Portrush.

Open Day 2007
The annual Open Day took place on 12th September. The Creative Computing Group had a major presence at the event, with demonstrations of Xbox 360, Wii and Playstation 3 games; as well as Lego Mindstorms XNT robots. A selection of images from the event are available here.
