The School is based at the Coleraine campus of the university, and places an emphasis on promoting a friendly, family atmosphere for students studying at all levels. Colerine Students at DevXS
First year students Jonathon Dingley, Kevin Hargan and Perry Johnson are set to take part in DevXS - a national student developer marathon hosted by the University of Lincoln. Up to 200 students from across the UK and beyond will compete against each other and the clock to create new web applications in a unique student event.

Citi-Group Mobile Game Development Prize Awarded
The school of Computing and Information Engineering at Coleraine has been fortunate over many years to receive sponsored prizes from local industry. Last academic year Citi-Group generously donated a 2nd year student prize for the best game designed and developed to run on a smartphone. Three groups of students from Dr Darryl Charles’ 2nd year game development class were shortlisted for the prize and their Windows Phone 7 games were scrutinized by a technical team from within Citi-Group

Civic Recognition for Kyle
Second Year computing student Kyle Davidson has been given a special award from Newtownards Borough Council to mark his achievement in having an iPhone app launched on Apple's iconic Appstore.

University of Ulster student Shannon Holgate from Castledawson was one of eight lucky undergraduates to secure a coveted place on Apple's inaugural ‘App Camp’ in Northern Ireland.
