North West 200

The North West 200 motor bike race is held annually on the North Coast of Northern Ireland and runs between the towns of Portrush, Portstewart, and Coleraine. A notorious motorbike road race, the North West 200 is Ireland's largest outdoor sporting event and celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2009. More than 150,000 spectators line the roads between Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine to watch the races.

In addition there are practice days during the week before the races, and the whole week takes on a festival atmosphere with concerts and other entertainment.

The 2010 date for the North West 200 is 9 May to 16 May so there will be opportunities to come to CASI a few days early and join in the fun. In any case it is likely to add to CASI’s usual lively atmosphere. However the downside is that hotels will be busy and prices will increase so we encourage you to book as soon as possible and definitely by the end of March.
