New PhD postgraduate opportunities The closing date for applications is 5th December 2008

If your interests lie in the many different disciplines within the Faculty of Engineering we may have a research programme that matches your interests and skills. We are also keen to allow potential students to propose their own programmes provided these can be integrated into our existing research fields.

This site has been designed to provide more information about the many research centres within the Faculty and help you find out the nature of the research undertaken with examples of possible doctorate programmes and the research facilities available. We also offer professional doctorates for those wishing to undertake research study related directly to their current employment.

I suggest that you start your search by looking at the research centres and examples of research programmes most appropriate to your interests. If you are not sure about anything and need advice, please feel free to contact the relevant member of staff by telephone or email. Once you have found a suitable research area and possible topic, you may send us your application. Before you make your application you should read the Guidance for Applicants. This will help us to ensure a fast and efficient response to your application.
